Maureen Haeger, LMHCA, NCC

Mental Health Therapist

Maureen received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling from Eastern Washington University in 2021, and holds an associate license to practice through the Washington State Department of Health. She is also certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors. She comes to us with a background in sexual assault and family trauma, and has training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and child-centered play therapy (CCPT).

Using an existential and humanistic theoretical framework, Maureen views therapy as a space for you, the client, to increase your own understanding of self, identify patterns, and attend to the places that need healing as you discover what a healthy, vibrant life looks like for you. Her role is to provide structure, support, boundaries, and humor as she walks alongside you on your journey. While therapy can be challenging, it can also be immensely rewarding. Throughout this process, she will be with you, confident of your inherent worth and committed to providing respectful care for your individual needs.

Maureen has special interest in working with teens and young adults, parents, and members of the sexual, affectational, intersex, and gender-expansive (SAIGE) community. She is committed to supporting diversity and inclusion, both as an individual and at a systemic level through ongoing education, advocacy, and awareness of her own privileged identities.
