Certified Child Life Specialist
Individual, Adolescent and Child Therapy.
Maggie has worked in social services since 2003 in various healthcare and mental health settings. As a Clinical Social Worker and Certified Child Life Specialist, she has extensive training in child development, grief/loss, disability, chronic illness, trauma, and school issues.
Maggie’s goal is to help clients identify the patterns of thinking, or the old traumas that are keeping them stuck, and to make meaningful action towards their values- the experiences that bring us joy and deep satisfaction.
Maggie utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Play Therapy and Family Play Therapy, as well as Expressive Arts Therapies. When there aren’t words, there are other ways to explore and make sense of our personal experiences, and to move forward with new confidence.
Maggie has a special interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as parents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She brings a lot of warmth, compassion, and humor to the counseling environment.
